My Story

My oldest son was just days old when I started dreaming up ways to hold onto that year. I wanted monthly photos, something to look back on once he wasn't tiny anymore. So we hired a photographer, and I remember sitting there watching her work, completely captivated. The way she talked to him, found the light, waited for the real moment instead of forcing a pose. I couldn't stop thinking about it after we left.

A few months later, when he was ten months old, I bought my first camera. I spent the next year photographing him constantly, in our living room, in the backyard, wherever the light looked good. By September 2013, I'd turned that into Wright Photography & Video.

For over a decade, I've had the privilege of documenting weddings, family milestones, senior portraits, and brand stories. What started as a parent's desire to freeze time in photographs has become a career built on the belief that the best images are the ones that feel effortless — where people are fully present, fully themselves.

My Approach

I photograph for two things: to help my clients remember the important moments in their lives, and to help them see themselves the way I see them.

Photos are more than documentation. They're evidence that the moment mattered, that you were there, that you looked the way you felt. My job is to capture that — without fanfare, without distraction, without making the camera the center of attention.

Whether you're getting married, celebrating a milestone, or building your brand, I'm here to create images that remind you of who you are and who you're becoming. The camera disappears. What remains is you, exactly as you should be remembered.
